Job SummaryWe are looking for a Shift production supervisor for a renowned company in Plastic manufacturing industryFollowing are the requirements :Qualification & Experience:- Diploma in Process or Production Engineering or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution of higher learning.● Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar capacity in a busy manufacturing environment, preferably worked in Top 5 Injection molding household factories in Kenya.● Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Quality management process.● Good working knowledge and understanding of Kaizen, GMP and factory processes and technology.
● Basic proficiency with computer applications and programs including email and Microsoft Office.Gender Preference : MaleJoining : ImmediateResponsibilitiesRoles :Allocate and reallocate manpower on the production line and revising production schedules and priorities as needed in order to maximize productivity.Set machine operating parameters and monitor machine performance to ensure production volumes and quality is achieved in line with the production planCheck and maintain utilities (cooling tower, chilling plant, air compressor and generators) to ensure availability and performance of all utilities in order to support production.Carry out a daily preventive maintenance check as per the roster to ensure high machine availability and performance and reduce down time.Continuously supervise product changes and monitor production operations to ensure that product specification, quality and plant efficiency is achieved around the machines and working area.Ensure expected housekeeping standards are met and maintained.Ensure all gangways are kept clear of any product, material or obstructionsConstantly monitor the production equipment and report any unsafe conditions and risks/hazards in line with Company safety and health Policy.Ensure set performance targets for the production team are met and monitor and submit daily, weekly and monthly performance reports.Conduct on the job training for all staff.Monitor and coordinate the implementation of ISO system
