Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close & Reporting
  • Manage month-end/year-end close (journals, accruals, reconciliations, fixed assets) and prepare timely monthly financial and management reports.
Books of Account & Controls
  • Maintain accurate records in Tally, improve finance processes/reporting accuracy, and strengthen internal controls and finance discipline.
Payables, Receivables & Cash Management
  • Oversee AP/AR with proper approvals and follow-up; manage bank reconciliations, cashbook control, and financial housekeeping.
Statutory Compliance & Audit Readiness
  • Prepare and submit statutory returns (PAYE, VAT, SHIF, NSSF and other filings) on time; maintain schedules and documentation for internal/external audits.
Procurement, Payroll & Inventory
  • Provide financial control over procurement transactions; process payroll accurately and on time;
  • participate in stock counts and inventory reconciliations and resolve variances; support margin/costing analysis as required.
Team Supervision
  • Supervise and guide the Accounts Assistant in day-to-day finance operations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; CPA/ACCA or equivalent;
  • 5–7 years relevant finance experience; strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS and Kenyan tax/statutory requirements;
  • manufacturing experience required; inventory-heavy exposure preferred;
  • EPZ/export exposure an added advantage; Tally experience preferred.
