Job SummaryDepartment: Presales & Solutions EngineeringReports To: Presales Manager / Senior Presales EngineerLocation: Kenya & Sub Sahara AfricaRole Purpose: To support the design, documentation, and client engagement for ELV/ICT systems including Audio Visual (AV), Background Music (BGM), and Fire & Emergency Evacuation Systems. This role assists in ensuring that Bakyson’s solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and aligned with client requirements and industry standards.ResponsibilitiesSolution Support & DesignAssist in the preparation of technical designs, BOQs, schematics, and system diagrams for AV, BGM, and Fire & Evac systems.Review project drawings, specifications, and RFPs to support senior engineers in developing technical solutions.Ensure basic compliance with relevant codes and standards.Presales Proposal AssistanceSupport the preparation of client-ready technical proposals, pricing sheets, and compliance matrices.Assist in responding to RFPs/RFIs with accurate technical information.Participate in presales presentations and follow up on client technical queries under supervision.Client & Project EngagementAttend client briefings and technical sessions to understand project requirements.Assist in preparing documentation for the handover to implementation teams.Internal Collaboration & LearningWork closely with senior presales engineers to build technical skills and product knowledge.Maintain internal documentation to support project quality standards.Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and Projects teams as needed.Vendor & Technology FamiliarizationStay updated on relevant technologies and products from key vendors.Participate in trainings and pursue certifications under guidance of senior engineers.Key Deliverables:Accurate and clear technical documentation and BOQs.Support for high-quality client proposals and RFP/RFI responses.Weekly updates on assigned presales activities.Qualifications & Experience:Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.Minimum 3 years relevant experience in ELV/ICT systems, preferably supporting presales or design work.Familiarity with at least 2 of the following: AV, BGM, Fire & Evac.Exposure to brands like Cisco, Avaya, Hikvision, Axis, Bosch, Honeywell, TOA, Extron, Crestron is desirable.Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, and MS Office.Key Skills & Competencies:Technical aptitude and willingness to learn system-level design.Good written and verbal communication.Attention to detail and documentation quality.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Team player with a collaborative mindset.You can also send your CV throughbildad.mukambi@bakyson.com
