We work w…Maintenance TechnicianWe are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to ensure our machines, electrical systems, and ICT-related equipment run at peak efficiency. You will be responsible for implementing preventive maintenance programs, responding quickly to breakdowns, and supporting production uptime. This role is ideal for a disciplined and organised professional who takes pride in maintaining operational excellence and safety standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical infrastructure, including production machines, cabling, and ICT equipment.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules as per ISO9001 standards to maximise plant uptime and minimise breakdowns.
  • Diagnose equipment issues promptly and carry out effective repairs or adjustments.
  • Maintain and update electrical/electronic diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Monitor generator readiness for all relevant departments.
  • Keep maintenance tools, instruments, and equipment in top condition.
  • Track and report spare part requirements in liaison with the Stores department.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, checklists, and history cards.
  • Train operators in basic diagnostics to reduce downtime and defects.
  • Support compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies and address audit findings.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Practical knowledge of power transmission to mechanical systems.
  • KCSE C (plain) or higher.
  • NYS training preferred.
