Habitat for Humanity International, generally referred to as Habitat for Humanity or simply Habitat, is an international, non-governmental, and nonprofit organization, which was founded in 1976.Technical Programmatic AdvisorKey Responsibilities:Deliver project management of the TCIS thematic mainstreaming portfolio and work plan: 30%
  • Facilitate thematic working groups focused on gender and climate, organizing regular meetings and interactions with clear objectives and engagement guidelines.
  • Coordinate strategic development and planning, by guiding members in identifying and implementing strategies that ensure effective mainstreaming of gender and climate at HFHI.
  • Support organizational policy and practice reviews to enhance mainstreaming efforts.
  • Capacity building and coaching to build internal awareness and capabilities of teams within TCIS and HFHI.
Support the implementation of HFHI's Gender Equity Curiosity Collective: 30%
  • Setting up, planning, and delivering learning exchange mechanisms (communities of practice, task force, meetings, etc.).
  • Pulling together written reports and communications and supporting the aggregation and summary of those reports, this will include:
  • Ensuring all documentation received and reviewed from participating program teams.
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed and accessible to the Gender Equity Curiosity Collective Core Team.
  • Reviewing and summarizing documentation as required (this may include case studies, internal and external communications, presentations).
  • Supporting the lead consultant on the production of an annual report.
  • Connecting with and supporting inquiry sites.
  • Working closely with Knowledge Management and Global Communications teams to ensure that information and content are shared in an accessible and timely manner.
Fundraising Support: 25%
  • Research funding opportunities and collaborate on grant proposals with resource development teams.
  • Engage with donors or funders to secure financial support for gender equity initiatives.
  • Review funding proposals from national offices and TCIS to institutional donors and provide gender equity expertise.
Research and Analysis: 15%
  • Conduct research to analyze trends at the intersection of housing and gender, informing strategy development.
  • Stay current with best practices through literature reviews, conferences, and professional networking.
  • Provide additional support as requested in alignment with the role's objectives.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 3-5 years of international programmatic experience facilitating and managing gender equity programs.
  • Strong understanding of gender issues and international development.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successful project implementation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement and relationship-building.
  • Proven experience in participatory and inclusive approaches.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project implementation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work in diverse teams and navigate a complex organization.
  • Fluent in English.
