Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Pharmacognosy or Complementary and Alternative Medicine. (A PhD in a relevant field is an added advantage).
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree or equivalent.
  • Registered and with a current practice license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
  • At least two (2) years of academic or research experience at an institution of higher learning or research institution.
  • Current member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Delivering lectures and facilitating practical training for B.Pharm and postgraduate students in Pharmacognosy and Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
  • Mentoring students and supervising research projects within the department.
  • Examining and assessing students’ academic progress as per university policy
  • Developing and reviewing curriculum to align with University, Commission of University Education, and Pharmacy and Poisons Board standards.
  • Engaging in continuous research and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Coordinating academic programs and departmental operations as assigned by the Chairman.
