- Applicants will be required to submit a brief, concept note on a research project that can be initiated and completed during the fellowship, using existing datasets (as primary data collection will not be supported).
- Proposed projects should focus on one of the following disease conditions and incorporate a gender lens in both analysis and interpretation: HIV, Malaria, Pandemic-prone diseases, Reproductive health and various forms of Cancer.
- Kenyan citizens or holders of a valid work permit
- Currently employed by NPHI or the Ministry of Health
- Commitment to fully participate in all aspects of the fellowship
