Responsibilities and duties
  • Commit to attend all days of training and data collection period.
  • Obtain and document informed consent from study participants before the interviews.
  • Conduct and record all interviews held with respondents using Survey CTO.
  • Participate in daily debrief meetings.
  • Be a custodian of the APHRC data collection equipment during field work.
  • Observe safeguarding procedures throughout the data engagement.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum requirements
  • KCSE certificate with a minimum of Grade C
  • Proven experience in quantitative data collection and electronic data capture.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and report writing skills.
  • Available to work full-time on the project for the duration of the study.
  • Resident in one of the counties of Garissa.
  • Fluent in both oral and written English and Swahili. Familiarity with local languages spoken in the target counties is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively and collaborate with a large research team.
  • Availability should be immediate.
