Qualifications and Experience
  • BSc. Degree from a registered and recognized University in any of the following areas of specialization: Analytical Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
  • KSCE mean Grade C+ (plus) or equivalent and above.
  • Have relevant working experience in a busy Teaching, Research, or Quality Control Laboratory.
  • Experience in operating analytical equipment such as LC-MS/MS, GC/MS, FTIR, UV-VIS, HPTLC, and XRF will be an added advantage.
  • Be computer literate.
While reporting to the Director, NPRC, the successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Maintain current Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Ensure proper handling of test samples and proper sample preparation before analysis.
  • Prepare and review standard operating procedures, documents, and records as prescribed by ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
  • Carry out analysis using analytical instruments such as LC-MS/MS, GC/MS, FTIR, UV-VIS, HPTLC, XRF
  • Operate general laboratory equipment like freeze-driers, rotary evaporators, and centrifuges.
  • Ensure both periodic and routine inspection of laboratory instruments and documentation of certificates from external calibrations.
