We are seeking a technically-minded Thermal Delivery Engineer to lead the technical design and execution of our Bioenergy projects, specifically focusing on biomass-to-steam and energy efficiency technologies.   • Technical Design: Develop design concepts, site development plans, and high-level Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for thermal projects.
  • Project Execution: Oversee the technical aspects of project construction and commissioning, including site-level inspections and vendor coordination.
  • Procurement Support: Prepare technical scopes of work for third-party contractors and review tender proposals to ensure technical compliance.
  • Specialist Oversight: Manage the layout and design of the "Balance of Plant" (pipework, electrical reticulation, civils, and structures) for boiler installations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Business Development and Construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery from concept to COD.
Requirements
  • Education: Engineering degree from a reputable university (Honours in Mechanical or Thermodynamic engineering is highly preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years as a design and delivery engineer specifically within the Thermal/Bioenergy plant sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and specialized design/drawing software packages.
  • Market Knowledge: A solid understanding of the technical aspects of the Bioenergy industry in Africa.
  • Attributes: A self-starter who can work independently and navigate the multifaceted demands of a lean, rapidly growing organization.
