- Lead and supervise supply chain staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Implement best practices for inventory management, including procurement, storage,cleaning and distribution of goods.
- Develop and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize holding costs.
- Coordinate with production facilities to forecast demand and ensure adequate stock availability.
- Monitor supply chain operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Work closely with kitchen managers to coordinate inventory needs and production schedules.
- Ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to production facilities to meet production targets.
- Collaborate with sorting production teams to streamline workflow processes and minimize downtime.
- Facilitate communication between the supply chain and production teams to address any issues or concerns.
- Provide support to production facilities during peak periods or special projects as needed.
- Manage transportation and logistics activities to optimize delivery schedules and minimize transportation costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Oversee the sourcing and procurement of inventory items in collaboration with production facilities.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Develop and manage budgets for supply chain operations and logistics activities.
- Implement cost-saving measures to optimize supply chain and logistics expenses.
- Collaborate with the finance team to analyze financial data and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Coordinate monthly or adhoc stocktake
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and procedures for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Implement quality control measures to prevent product damage or loss during storage and handling.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Provide leadership and guidance to supply chain staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide overall leadership of the business unit to ensure that team is committed to the company's objectives.
- Regularly update management on operations status and prepare reports and presentations.
- Participate in management meetings and contribute in ideation and decision making to help fashion the business direction.
- Ensure that the business operations remain compliant in line with the government, clients, regulator and local authorities requirements.
- Promote a positive work environment and encourage collaboration and teamwork among supply chain staff.
- Ensure compliance to the organization's policies and procedures, and act as a champion for its culture and values.
- Any other duties or roles that may be added to you.
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field.
- Professional qualification such as CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in supply chain management systems and inventory control software.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with a focus on achieving operational excellence.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements for supply chain operations.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
