Job Purpose
The Site Engagement Clinician will be responsible for recruitment, follow-up, retention and
monitoring of study participants in accordance with the ICH GCP standards, local ethical and
regulatory approval requirements, and the study protocols and SOPs for the Ndovu Study.

Duty Station: Various Study Sites in Nairobi, Kiambu, Kisumu,Siaya, Mombasa
Reporting to: Study Physician
Job Description
1. Lead the recruitment, screening and enrolment of participants in accordance with
study protocol
2. Conduct thorough Screening and enrolment of eligible participants
3. Obtain informed consent from participants
4. Providing clinical care to study participants
5. Supporting treatment adherence
6. Oversee accurate collection and entry of study information in the electronic case
report forms
7. Responding to data queries
8. Completion of required MoH tools and registers for HIV care
9. Ensure safe and confidential custody of study source and other study documents
10. Collection and shipment of study specimen
11. Prescription of study and other medication
12. Eliciting, reporting and management adverse events including serious adverse events
13. Ensuring retention of study participants in care
14. Work closely with nurses, adherence counsellors and other team members to provide
comprehensive care to patients

i.
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and registered to practice with the Clinical Officers
Council
ii.
Minimum of 2 years' experience with direct clinical care of PLHIV, including
prescribing ARVs
iii.
Experience in clinical research, participation in clinical trials will be an added
advantage
iv.
MUST have a current Certificate of Good Clinical Practice
v.
MUST have a current certificate in Human Subject Protection
vi.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage effectively
with diverse population
vii.
Strong organization skills with keen attention to detail
viii.
Proficiency in intermediate IT skills
ix.
Certification in the National HIV intergrated Training Curriculum (NHITC) is an added
advantage
x.
Experience in clinical studies is a plus
Terms of appointment
The appointment is on contractual terms of one year, renewable based on performance and
mutual agreement.
