Duties and responsibilities
- Assist in the design of electrical systems for county streetlights and public works infrastructure
- Assist in the supervision of county projects
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution
- Registered by engineers registration board of kenya as a graduate engineer
- Proficiency in computer application
- Working in an intermediate life support unit as an emergency care provider or
- An ambulance operator (driver)
- Assessing, history taking, diagnosing, planning, implementing emergency
- Medical care interventions and reassessing patient outcomes;
- Administration of authorized medication;
- Initiating basic intravenous therapies, providing autonomous basic life support
- Interventions and supervised advanced cardiac life support interventions;
- Maintaining the patient care reports and keeping patient records;
- Identifying, managing and referring emergency medical care cases;
- Referring patients, experts and specimen to appropriate facilities.
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: emergency medical services, emergency
- Medical technology; or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized training institution
- A valid certificate in emergency medical technician – advanced course or emergency
- Medical services instructor course from the kenya red cross society or the kenya
- Council of emergency medical technicians;
- Kenya certificate of secondary education (kcse) mean grade c, with at least a c+
- (plus) in biology or chemistry and a d in english or kiswahili; or its equivalent
- Qualification or a valid emergency medical technician – basic certificate;
- A valid class bce driver's license with public service vehicle authorization; or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized training institution;
- A valid practicing license from a recognized licensing institution
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional qualification such as cpa (k) / acca or equivalent.
- At least 5 years' relevant experience, with 3 years in a senior finance or revenue management role, preferably in a hospital or large public institution.
- Strong knowledge of revenue cycle management in healthcare settings.
- Experience in health insurance claims management (including sha/nhif systems).
- Proficiency in financial systems and hospital management information systems (hmis).
- Strong analytical, reporting, and financial control skills.
- Knowledge of public finance management act and county financial procedures.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in computer applications (excel, financial systems, reporting tools).
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in security management, criminology, disaster management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least three (3) years' relevant experience in security management, preferably in a hospital, public institution, or security firm.
- Experience in managing outsourced services or contract supervision will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of electronic security systems such as cctv, access control, and alarm systems.
- Good understanding of security operations, risk management, and emergency response procedures.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Valid certificate of good conduct from the directorate of criminal investigations (dci).
- Master's degree in human resource management, industrial relations, industrial psychology, or related field from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, or social sciences.
- Must be a certified human resource professional (chrp-k).
- Must be a full member of the institute of human resource management (ihrm) with a valid practicing license.
- Minimum of 12 years' relevant hr experience, with at least 7 years at senior management level, preferably in a large public institution or hospital.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic hr leadership, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Strong understanding of kenyan labour laws and public service hr policies.
- Experience in healthcare hr management will be an added advantage.
To qualify for appointment, a candidate must:
- Bachelor's degree in any of the following fields: medicine and surgery, nursing, public health, health information management systems, economics, business administration, business management, public administration or its equivalents from a recognized institution.
- Master's degree in medical related field will be an added advantage.
- A registered member of a relevant professional body.
- Have a distinguished career with at least ten (10) years of experience in a senior management position in either the public or private sector.
- Demonstrate proven experience in hospital administration, health systems management, and the implementation of organizational change.
- Exhibit high levels of professional competence, managerial capability, and strategic leadership skills.
- Be proficient in computer applications and modern information management systems.
- Meet the requirements of chapter six of the constitution of kenya on leadership and integrity.
