If you are hands-on, detail-oriented, and take pride in keeping systems running smoothly, we invite you to be part of a healthcare environment.Consultant ENT SurgeonKey Responsibilities:
- Clinical Consultation: Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of ear, nose, and throat conditions in both pediatric and adult patients.
- Surgical Procedures: Perform routine and complex ENT surgeries, including tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, septoplasties, and endoscopic sinus surgeries.
- Clinical Leadership: Lead and grow the ENT service line, contributing to the development of clinical protocols and the delivery of high standards of care.
- Multidisciplinary Care: Work collaboratively with Oncology, Trauma, Pediatrics, and other departments to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Education: Master of Medicine (MMed) in Otolaryngology or an equivalent postgraduate qualification recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Licensing: Registered and licensed as a Specialist by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Experience: Proven clinical competence in a busy hospital environment, typically with 2-5 years post-qualification experience.
- Skills & Competencies: Strong ethical practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a consultant-led practice model.
- Conduct comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for paediatric patients, including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents
- Manage both acute and chronic childhood illnesses in accordance with established clinical guidelines
- Provide specialized neonatal care, monitor growth and developmental milestones, and oversee routine immunization services
- Respond promptly to paediatric emergencies and deliver appropriate life-saving interventions
- Work closely with Paediatricians, Nurses, Nutritionists, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical documentation
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
- Higher Diploma in Paediatrics and Child Health
- Valid registration and practicing license with the Clinical Officers Council (COC)
- BLS and PALS certification (added advantage)
- Minimum 2 years post-specialization experience in a busy hospital setting
