- Service and refurbish standby spares and equipment, and ensure they are ready for utilization.
- Spearhead critical preventive schedules as assigned on SAP.
- Carry out improvement activities within the plant as directed by engineers.
- Suggest the replacement of parts and recommend installation of new equipment and modifications.
- Liaise with engineers and stores to ensure optimal stock levels of spare parts.
- Suggest and carry out performance improvement modifications.
- Assist the supervisor in overseeing the operations of maintenance section and the management of the team.
- Perform any other duty(ies) as will be assigned from time to time by the supervisor or management.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills. Analytical thinker.
- Attention to details. Teamwork and effective communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team.
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extra hours, shifts, weekends and holiday.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum experience of 3 years in a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical system maintenance.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear).
- Certificate of good conduct.
- Basic computer literacy.
