Summit Recruitment and Search Africa is a leading Recruitment and Executive Search agency head quartered in Kenya providing outstanding talent to a wide range of companies and NGOs in various business sectors across Africa.Our client, a European Food Waste Management company, is looking for a , to be based in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring all financial processes including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts on company's ERP-System. In addition, he /she will be monitoring all logistics processes including route planning as well as ensuring efficient operations of warehouse and inventory management.Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and execution of audits, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Monitoring all updated files and records
  • Monitoring and processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Ensuring adequate handling of any tax responsibilities of the company
  • Handling of invoices / credit notes and bills and send them to customers through various channels (mail, e-mail etc.) and sending bill reminders/contacting clients for open invoices
  • Verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier's ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
  • Monitoring of all compliance matters and responsibilities
  • Monitoring & execution of all export related processes
  • Managing compliance and auditing with regards to sustainability rules and processes
  • Creation and implementation of new processes and innovations with regards to logistic or financial processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience with ERP-Systems (Microsoft Navision Dynamics)
  • A good team player and coordinate tasks within the team.
  • Ability to meet timelines and monthly targets on financial reporting.
  • Highly developed sense of initiative and representation of the company.
  • Rational and critical thinking in decision making in line with company policies.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest level of ethics and confidentiality in handling financial data.
