Roles & Responsibilities
  • Independently perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on electric buses
  • Diagnose and rectify common EV, electrical, and mechanical faults
  • Conduct fault-finding and basic diagnostics on:
  • Battery packs
  • Electric motors and inverters
  • Charging systems
  • Vehicle control systems
  • Accurately interpret wiring diagrams, fault codes, and service documentation
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues
  • Support breakdown recovery, roadside assistance, and field service activities
  • Record all work carried out, including fault findings, parts used, and corrective actions, in company systems
  • Escalate complex, recurring, or safety-critical issues to senior technicians and engineering teams
  • Support and guide Level 1 Service Technicians during service and repair activities
  • Follow all BasiGo safety procedures, particularly High Voltage (HV) safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
  • Perform any other reasonable duties required to support service operation
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience working on commercial vehicles (buses, trucks, cars, or industrial EVs).
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems. Experience with electric vehicle (EV) systems is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience performing independent servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage vehicle systems and safe working practices.
