
External Relations Officer – Mombasa

- Ensure our client maintains strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders and adheres to regulations.
- Support stakeholder engagement activities by scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining communication logs with key stakeholders including communities, government agencies, and NGOs.
- Assist in the dialogue with external stakeholders and provide accurate information by organizing regular briefings and bilateral meetings.
- Collaborate with local communities to ensure efficient and timely implementation of our clients projects and initiatives.
- Act as the focal point for partner relations and community liaison for purposes of our clients projects and engagements with members of the community.
- Assist in the implementation and tracking of communications with stakeholders, collecting and organizing relevant data, maintaining records, and supporting reporting processes.
- Prepare relevant reports and presentations by compiling information, drafting summaries, and ensuring document accuracy.
- Assist in organizing training sessions, managing logistics, invitations, and follow-up communications.
- Maintain and update databases related to the external relations department, ensuring timely tracking of activities and outcomes.
- Stay abreast of current affairs and collect relevant information and updates from the public authorities affecting our clients business and projects.
- Assist in planning and organizing communications strategy that generates support for our clientsoperations from external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Communications or any other related discipline.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in communications, external relations, community development, stakeholder engagement, or administrative coordination.
- Experience in creating and presenting reports.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and cross-culturally
- Experience of working across, diverse and engaging diverse teams, being flexible and able to adjust.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
