  • The role is responsible for developing and implementing Talent Management strategies within the organization that enhance the identification, development and retention of high performing employees through corporate-wide professional and technical development, learning strategies, planning and execution of the strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create overall talent strategy and roadmap to deliver on a robust learning and development agenda that is aligned with business strategy and needs.
  • Design and manage multiple programs, processes and systems that enhance organizational effectiveness including talent reviews, succession planning, mentoring, coaching and internal mobility.
  • Maintain a robust orientation module to include job specific, organization culture and personal development training.
  • Collaborating with Managers to identify areas of development throughout the organization including trending business needs. Translate these into learning opportunities.
  • Play a key role in embedding the employer branding strategies leading to employer of choice recognition.
  • Identifying career aspirations and discussing and agreeing upon these with employees and their managers throughout the performance cycle.
  • Create, plan and implement the Java academy training programs with the goal of external training programs being set up in the near future.
  • Measure effectiveness of the Academy's programs and track metrics such as participant satisfaction, performance improvement and talent initiatives.
  • Identifying on-the-job development opportunities and maximizing these opportunities for development.
  • Maintain a “JAVA Stars” program, where top performers are identified and groomed for future leadership programs.
  • In conjunction with the Head of Corporate Affairs build upon the succession planning program and establish a training plan for the program.
  • Maintain a robust coaching program and culture.
  • Spearhead the collection of data through Culture Surveys and implementation of action plans.
  • Lead the development of curricula for Leadership Development program(s) that are aligned with Company Vision and Values.
  • Develop and drive organizational culture alignment initiatives.
  • Assess and transform performance management processes and systems that drive high performance and engagement throughout the organization.
  • Develop Employee Engagement Program and work with senior leadership to establish, facilitate, and communicate the Java Culture.
  • Keep abreast of Learning & Development (L&D) global trends, developments and best practices to ensure alignment and implementation of best practices.
  • Developing effective strategies for identifying skills gaps within the workforce.
  • Building relationships with 3rd party training provider.
  • Acting as the go to within the business for anyone with questions or queries regarding training and development plans.
  • Maintain Talent management budget.
Job specifications:Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, HR Management or Business-Related Field
  • Professional Certification in Training Delivery/Human Resources Management
  • Should be a valid member of IHRM
Experience
  • 3 – 5 years in a training role in Human Resources Development in a medium to large organization. Preferably in the hospitality industry
  • At least 2 years of Demonstrated ability and experience in managing large learning curriculum, including learning contracts, class schedules, enrollment, and vendor management
  • Strong knowledge and experience in developing and designing of succession planning and talent review processes.
  • Demonstrated project management skills bringing projects to completion on time and within budget
  • Ability to develop process for linking competencies to talent management process ensuring successful outcomes
