Marriott.Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor (Laundry)POSITION SUMMARYThe Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and safety. This role includes supervising staff, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring that all laundry services meet company and hygiene standards.
  • Supervise laundry staff to ensure efficient and timely processing of linens, uniforms, and guest items.
  • Assign daily duties and monitor performance to ensure quality and productivity targets are met.
  • Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and damage; ensure proper stain removal and finishing.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to maintain high standards and safety protocols.
  • Maintain inventory of linen and laundry supplies; coordinate with procurement for reordering.
  • Operate and maintain laundry equipment; report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Prepare schedules, manage timekeeping records, and assist with performance evaluations.
  • Liaise with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, front office) to meet internal service needs.
  • Implement and monitor energy and water-saving initiatives in the laundry process.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
  • Education: Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Housekeeping, Hospitality or Related Course
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
