Job SummaryThe Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) is the apex body of the private sector in Kenya, established to drive economic development through year-on-year improvements in the business environment, by addressing cross-cutting business issues, driving investments, and addressing socio-economic issues with partners. KEPSA brings together business associations, corporate bodies, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and start-ups to speak in one voice, working closely with the Government and other stakeholders through structured Public Private Dialogue (PPD) platforms and other engagement mechanisms.KEPSA collaborate with partners such as financial institutions, local and international business associations, development partners to provide tailored solutions in the following focus areas; financial & market linkages, capacity building (training, mentorship, coaching), innovation and thought leadership to foster sustainable growth and development.About Jiinue Growth ProgramThe program seeks to address the funding gap for young women and young men-owned
and led MSMEs by pairing up financial support with well-tailored technical assistance, and a hands-on coordination strategy between various players in the eco-system.The Program is geared to improve access to short and medium-term finance and build the capacity for youth and women-led/owned Kenyan MSMEs, with priority provided to sectors with high participation of women and youth entrepreneurs such as agribusiness, manufacturing, artisanal, retail, and trade.Your DataIf you choose to apply for this position, you will be providing us with your Personal Data, which we will process for the purposes of selecting a candidate for the position only.We will keep the Personal Data you share with us as part of the application process for six months from the deadline for application, after which it will be deleted.Your Personal Data will be accessed only by our HR Staff managing the recruitment process, as well as the members of the selection panel.You have the right to:a) ask us for access to your Personal Data and for information about how we process it;b) to ask us to rectify the Personal Data we have on record for you;c) to ask us to delete your Personal Data or restrict its use; andd) to object to our processing of your Personal Data.To exercise these rights, please contact;If you have any concerns or complaints about how KEPSA processes your Personal Data, please submit them toResponsibilitiesCreate communication action plan/calendar and curate content and prepare posts/articles/Social Media campaigns around project activities continuouslyWork with project leads to document the impact story for ongoing and previous projects.Support in writing articles for publishingConduct research on best practices and document case studies to trigger the uptake of project Initiatives.Provide support in the planning and coordination of events.Assist with press releases and media outreach, especially during events.Participate in internal meetings, and if necessary, assist in preparing minutes.General administrative and communications support as assigned.Assist in developing project fact sheets and concept notesCollaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and tools for marketing and communicationsReview and edit project document, reports and provide input for improvements.Any other role relevant to this positionQualifications and Competencies:Applicants MUST at the time of application meet the following requirements:Graduate with a university degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, digital media, or a development-related field.Proficiency in using various Communication(social media) platforms for engagement, promotion, and brand awarenessAny related experience in marketing or communications a plusUnderstanding of the basic principles of public relations and/or marketingProficiency in video editing and graphic tools is highly desired.Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact and work with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs.Possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.Genuinely values others' ideas and input and is willing to learn from others, and shares their own knowledge and expertise.Ability to work well independently and within a teamOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted
