Dandelion Africa reduces maternal and child mortality by providing quality and accessible healthcare to communities in hard to reach rural areas. We do this through a medical facility, our backpack nurses who go door-to-door and a network of over 100 unpaid community health volunteers. We provide free quality healthcare to children under the age of five. We encourage women to access affordable reproductive health services, enabling them to have time for productive work and engage in economic and leadership opportunities. Dandelion Africa works with communities and the government on practical and systematic change so that communities in rural Kenya have access to quality healthcare. We engage boys and men so they are agents of change and champion women's health and livelihoods.Administrative Assistant – Sarambei – NakuruDuties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the offices of the Executive Director (ED) and Chief Operations Officer (COO) to ensure efficient operations
  • Receive, make comfortable and direct visitors and clients to the appropriate offices.
  • Manage and maintain executives' schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate meetings, conferences, and events, including scheduling, preparing agendas and taking minutes.
  • Prepare and distribute memos, letters, reports and other documents as needed.
  • Monitor office supplies and replenish inventory for the office of ED and COO as needed.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems, ensuring accuracy and organization of documents.
  • Assist with basic book keeping tasks like preparing requisitions, expense reports and reimbursements for the executives.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Any other duties as maybe assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in business administration, business management or related studies.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience as an administrative assistant or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Micro soft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Driving qualifications with a valid driving license will be an added advantage.
