- Oversee daily operations of all engineering and maintenance activities within the facility.
- Ensure the proper functioning of critical systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
- Develop and implement structured preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize operational downtime.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of the maintenance staff.
- Assign daily tasks, manage work schedules, and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Prepare and manage the engineering department budget while monitoring utility and repair expenses.
- Source and negotiate contracts with external suppliers and service providers for cost control.
- Ensure full compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Conduct routine inspections, maintain accurate documentation, and oversee renovation or upgrade projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in engineering or facilities maintenance.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, generators, and fire systems.
- Experience in the lodge, resort, or hospitality industry is considered a significant advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
