- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Architecture, Environmental Design, Architecture, Environmental Planning, Sustainable Design, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, etc.)
- Knowledge of environmental design standards, green building practices, and relevant legislation (e.g., EMCA, Physical and Land Use Planning Act)
- Strong understanding of sustainable land use and climate-resilient infrastructure
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Assist in designing environmentally sustainable buildings and public infrastructure
- Incorporate green architecture principles and climate-responsive design in county projects
- Participate in reviewing architectural plans and building proposals for environmental compliance
- Collaborate with planners, engineers, and environmental officers on sustainable urban development
- Conduct site visits and environmental assessments for proposed construction works
- Prepare concept designs, working drawings, and documentation for eco-friendly structures
- Support implementation of county environmental and climate change mitigation strategies through design
- Promote use of renewable energy, natural ventilation, water harvesting, and sustainable materials
- Participate in community education and awareness on sustainable design practices
- Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
