DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:
  • Conducting market research, surveys and analysis;
  • Carrying out procurement planning and inventory control;
  • Drafting of procurement and disposal programmes, plans, strategies and budgets;
  • Compiling pre-qualified list of suppliers;
  • Preparing local purchase orders;
  • Carrying out stock takes;
  • Participating in board survey exercises;
  • Assisting in preparing tender documents;
  • Participating in tender evaluation process; and
  • Drafting notices of award acceptance, rejection and debriefing letters.
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Management, Procurement or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Proficiency in computer applications;
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
