
Dental Technologist at Jordan Hospital

- Construct and adjust dental prostheses such as dentures, implants, crowns, and bridges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care teams for patients requiring facial reconstruction.
- Assess patients' needs for dental appliances/prostheses.
- Design, fabricate, and repair removable partial and complete dentures.
- Arrange and clasp teeth for wire or cast chrome partials; solder rests.
- Record bite relations on dental articulators and fabricate wax bite rims and base plates.
- Select and set acrylic or porcelain teeth using dental wax, articulator, and related tools.
- Grind, smooth, and polish dental prosthetics using burrs and grinding tools.
- Operate and maintain dental lab equipment (trimmers, grinders, lathes, articulators, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment per hospital standards.
- Coordinate training, guide, and mentor staff and students.
- Design and evaluate dental appliance/prosthesis training programs.
- Diploma in Dental Technology from a recognized institution.
- Registered member of the Kenya Dental Technologists Association (KDTA).
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a busy health facility.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Familiar with the ethos and values of the hospital.
