The center is comprised of a network of international experts who work with local stakeholders to combat infectious and non-communicable diseases in resource-limited regions of the world.Compliance ManagerJob Summary:The function of this position is to ensure that Ciheb-Kenya is compliant with all Ciheb-Kenya, donor, and government rules and regulations. This will be achieved through the establishment and use of best practice project management systems, contribute significantly to ERP internal control design, providing expert advice on donor requirements and regulations, by supporting contract negotiation and review, and by helping to build staff and business systems capacity to ensure compliance with contractual and donor regulations.Roles and Responsibilities:
  • To ensure current internal control systems are in place and are compliant with Donor regulation and Ciheb-Kenya policies.
  • Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct quarterly donor compliance spot checks and prepare the quarterly report to be submitted to the Board/CEO. This includes a review of sample documents from Finance, HR, Programs, Logistics, Procurement, and Grants, and communicating findings to the relevant staff/department for corrective action.
  • In collaboration with the Board/CEO, provide technical support or create awareness to all departments/staff in relation to donor compliance issues.
  • Support in the design of Internal Controls and continuous improvement of the finance, procurement, and reporting components of the proposed Ciheb ERP system.

  • Contribute significantly in risk evaluations and risk register updates
  • Conduct Investigations when required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree in accounting or related field with CPA-K.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor, or Certified Internal Auditor qualifications, with a minimum of eight (8) years of work experience in auditing, accounting, and ERP implementation.
  • Proven experience working on audits of projects funded by USAID/CDC and other development partners.
  • Excellent writing and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to determine priorities, and giving attention to details are a must: ability to manage/work with professional people from operations and finance backgrounds
  • High-level skills in MS Office application software.
