  • Receive and verify deliveries of supplies, tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise day-to-day operations on the workshop floor.
  • Ensure all company vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and repaired to required standards.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness, organization, and safety within the workshop and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure all workshop documents, records, and maintenance logs are accurate, up to date, and properly filed.
  • Prepare all company vehicles in a timely manner for annual general police inspections.
  • Allocate tasks and duties to workshop staff and provide day-to-day supervision.
  • Oversee and participate in vehicle repair and maintenance work, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records for vehicles and equipment to support efficiency and accountability.
  • Ensure specialized tools and equipment are readily available and in good working condition.
  • Inspect and approve all parts for purchase, ensuring they are genuine, fit for use, and durable.
  • Enforce safe working practices and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Identify and report any additional vehicle defects beyond those listed on job cards.
  • Report recurring vehicle problems to support continuous improvement.
  • Report any factors delaying work and promptly move to the next scheduled task.
  • Attend to on-road breakdowns promptly to reduce downtime.
  • Respond quickly to road accidents involving company trucks, including recovery and temporary repairs.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the workshop, vehicles, and tools.
Qualifications, Education and Skills requirements:
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in vehicle maintenance, mechanical repair, and workshop supervision.
  • Hands-on experience working with Actros trucks is mandatory.
  • Experience with heavy commercial vehicles is mandatory.
  • Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
