  • To support the maintenance, operation, and management of medical equipment within the hospital, ensuring optimal functionality, safety compliance, and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance & Repairs
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on medical equipment.
  • Conduct basic repairs, troubleshooting, and calibration.
  • Carry out routine performance verification tests.
  • Installation & Commissioning
  • Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new medical devices.
  • Ensure proper asset tagging and documentation before clinical use.
  • Technical Support & Training
  • Provide first-line technical support for equipment breakdowns.
  • Train clinical and support staff on proper equipment usage and care.
  • Documentation & Asset Management
  • Maintain accurate asset registers, maintenance logs, and service records.
  • Support inventory tracking and audits.
  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance
  • Conduct electrical safety and functional tests.
  • Ensure compliance with: Hospital policies, Manufacturer guidelines
  • Regulatory standards, Report hazards and escalate risks appropriately. ‘
  • Vendor & Contractor Coordination
  • Assist in supervising external service providers and contractors.
  • Support service visits and ensure adherence to service agreements.
  • Support to Senior Engineers
  • Assist in technical evaluations and procurement processes.
  • Support major repairs, upgrades, and equipment planning.
  • Emergency & Clinical Support
  • Provide support during equipment-related emergencies.
  • Ensure critical equipment is operational and ready for use.
  • Continuous Professional Development
  • Participate in trainings, workshops, and in-service sessions.
  • Stay updated with emerging biomedical technologies.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of medical equipment systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
