Minimum Requirements
- 10 years relevant experience 5 of which should be at a senior Management level preferable in a University or College
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in one local language
- Highly organized with excellent strategic and planning skills
- Masters’ Degree in Social Sciences and/or in Technology.
- Must have a thorough understanding of the labour laws and Commission of University Education (CUE) rules and regulation, University Act
- Must have undertaken a Senior Management Course not lasting more than a month.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other computer applications with hands on experiences in use of ERP.
- Chief Finance and accounting officer of the Learning Centre who will oversee the day to day operations of the center to avoid interruption of teaching and learning.
- Coordinating all developments plans for the Learning Centre
- Exploring and developing new community partnerships and acts as a focal person for Umma University in community service, local administration, government and other local stakeholders
- Liaising with Deans of Schools to prepare timetables and to coordinate student’s admissions, registration, fees collection, examinations and graduation.
- Liaising with the DVC-Academic Research and Student Affairs, Registrar Academic and Students Affairs and the Librarian to ensure delivery of quality education to Umma University students
- Maintaining and safeguarding of the University’s assets at the Learning Centre
- Maintaining excellent local community-Learning center relations serving as the primary link between Umma University and the community in the area to ensure realignment of Umma University goals and community expectations.
- Participating in policy formulation, risk management and general development of the center and Performing and implementing special projects for the Centre as per Management instructions.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor
- Preparing written reports consisting of qualitative and quantitative data, memoranda, draft publications and brochures and other documents as necessary that will enable both Management and council make correct decisions.
- Supervising teaching and non-teaching staff at the center to ensure adherence to University’s policies, rules and regulations
