  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B: Ch.B.) degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
  • Successfully completed one (I) year Internship from a recognized institution; and
  • Possess a current valid practicing certificate;
  • Membership to a relevant professional body;
  • Be of good moral and professional standing;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Duties and Responsibilities: –
  • Diagnose, care and treat disease;
  • Perform medical and surgical procedures;
  • Prepare and respond to emergencies and disasters;
  • Participate in management of medicines, medical instruments and equipment.
  • Provide health education to the public;
  • Maintain medical records, health information and data;
  • Counsel patients and their relatives on diagnosis and bereavement;
  • Teach and coach medical students, nursing students and clinical; officer interns;
  • Prepare requisite documents for registration;
  • Attend to patients in clerking, diagnosis, management and follow ups; and
  • Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
