Requirements for appointment:-
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade of C- (minus) with at least a C (plain) in English or Kiswahili, or possess an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • Hold a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC);
  • OR
  • Hold Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GC) from KNEC in the following subjects:
  • Typewriting III (50 w.p.m.) / Computerised Document Processing III
  • Shorthand II (80 w.p.m.)
  • Business English II / Communications I
  • Office Practice II
  • Secretarial Duties II
  • Commerce II
  • Office Management III / Office Administration and Management III
  • Hold a certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
  • Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
Duties and Responsibilities: -
  • Take oral dictation; word and data processing;
  • manage e-office;
  • ensure security of office records, documents and equipment;
  • maintain an up to date filing system in the office;
  • operate office equipment;
  • manage office protocol;
  • manage office petty cash;
  • handle telephone calls and appointments;
  • supervise office cleanliness
