- Accurately post daily sales invoices into the system and update customer payment plans.
- Reconcile all customer accounts in collaboration with the Customer Service department.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing relevant schedules and documentation.
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Process payroll, sales commissions, directors' and staff allowances in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review supporting documents for supplier payments, process payments, and reconcile supplier accounts.
- Maintain and regularly update the fixed asset register, ensuring all company assets are adequately insured.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal financial controls and standard operating procedures.
- Support debt collection processes and provide updates on outstanding receivables.
- Ensure proper filing and safeguarding of accounting records for easy retrieval.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including variance analysis.
- Participate in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.
- Prepare and file statutory returns including PAYE, VAT, NHIF, NSSF, and corporate taxes in line with set deadlines.
- Assist in performing monthly bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Generate ad hoc financial and management reports as requested by management.
- Undertake any other related duties as may be assigned by the line manager from time to time.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional Accountancy qualification CPA(K)
- Membership with a professional body ICPAK in good standing is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Experience in project accounting and/or real estate industry will be an added advantage.
