About NYUMBANYUMBA is an initiative by Goodwell Investments that aims to equip African entrepreneurs with the tools and guidance to grow and increase the impact of their businesses. At its heart is a growing community of founders who come together to learn, connect, and access business support. The NYUMBA Platform is our online home for this community.Currently, NYUMBA is open to women-led businesses active in the green transformation in Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, and Mozambique that are selected for Goodwell's Technical Assistance (TA) program under the . Between September 2025 and February 2027, a total of 100 entrepreneurs will be selected.The ambition is to further scale NYUMBA by using the platform and community to support a growing number of entrepreneurs across different Goodwell-supported programs, ensuring continued access to learning, peer exchange, and relevant business support.About the roleWe are looking for a proactive and hands-on intern to support our Community Manager in building, expanding, and streamlining the NYUMBA Platform, as well as in the day-to-day operations of the NYUMBA community and training program. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape an online community space from the ground up, while also gaining broader exposure to community building, program development, operational coordination, and entrepreneurship support.Key responsibilitiesNYUMBA Platform development
  • Support the improvement and structuring of the NYUMBA Platform (content organization, navigation, user-friendliness)
  • Help upload, organize, and maintain training materials (recordings, slides, assignments, resources)
  • Assist with expanding the platform library and improving how content is presented and accessed
General support
  • Support the further development of NYUMBA and its training program
  • Help prepare and follow up on training sessions (online and in-person)
  • Contribute ideas to improve participant engagement and the overall NYUMBA experience
Who we are looking for
  • A final year student or recent graduate (within the last 2 years) in business administration, social entrepreneurship, development studies, communications, digital media, or a related field. With a strong interest in community building, digital platforms, and social impact.
  • Comfortable using online tools and platforms (or eager to learn)
  • Familiarity with WordPress is a plus, and a strong willingness to learn the tool is essential
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and not afraid to improve things that are still “work in progress”
  • Proactive, curious, and comfortable working independently
  • Strong communication skills in English
