- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies across multiple channels (email, social media, website, newsletters)
- Create engaging content that highlights member achievements, industry insights, and ASSEK initiatives
- Manage ASSEK’s digital platforms and social media presence to enhance visibility and engagement
- Facilitate regular communication between ASSEK leadership and members through various touchpoints
- Lead membership recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to grow ASSEK’s community of startup and SME enablers.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive member database, tracking engagement levels and member satisfaction
- Create and implement member segmentation strategies to deliver targeted communications and services
- Coordinate membership renewal processes and work with members to address concerns and feedback
- Organize and coordinate networking events, workshops, and member meetups that align with ASSEK’s mission
- Foster strong relationships among members, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing within the ecosystem
- Identify and create opportunities for members to connect, partner, and support each other’s initiatives
- Develop member recognition programs and initiatives to celebrate successes within the community
- Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries and support requests
- Collaborate with senior management to align community initiatives with organizational goals
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders in the startup and SME ecosystem
- Represent ASSEK at industry events and forums to expand network and promote the association.
- Monitor and analyze member engagement metrics, communication effectiveness, and community growth
- Prepare regular reports on membership trends, engagement levels, and community feedback for senior management
- Conduct member surveys and feedback sessions to identify areas for improvement and new opportunities
- Track and report on the success of community initiatives and communication campaigns
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in community management, member relations, or communications, preferably within the startup and SME ecosystem
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing online and offline communities
- Experience working with associations, non-profits, or membership organizations
- Knowledge of the Kenyan startup and SME landscape
