An officer at this level will work under the supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail: –

Ensuring the safe transportation of Authority personnel and/or goods from source to destination as per instructions.
Detecting and report malfunctioning of vehicles system.
Keeping a record of the vehicle's movement through the “Work Ticket”.
Monitoring and reporting the vehicle service and insurance schedule.
Ensuring the cleanliness of the vehicle.
Reporting incidents and accidents as soon as they occur as per the policy.
Ensuring adherence to or observations of traffic laws.

Person specification
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have: –

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D (plain) or equivalent qualification.
Valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles or plants which the officer is required to drive.
Passed Occupational Trade Test for Drivers Grade III from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or Ministry of Roads and Public Works.
First-Aid Refresher Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution.
Passed Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology or Ministry of Roads and Public Works.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police Service; and
Proficiency in computer applications
