- Maintain a strong Christian witness and model servant leadership to colleagues, partners, the communities we serve, and the public.
- Engage and participate in prayer before and after team meetings.
- Lead and participate in biblically based staff devotions.
- Work closely with the Carbon Credit Program Manager to provide technical direction for country office staff for the successful implementation of Carbon Credit Program requirements.
- Prepare written proposals and cost estimates for assigned programs and projects.
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Maintain good communications with the project stakeholders, i.e. in-country staff and in-country partner organizations
- Ensure that aspects of the project are executed according to an agreed-upon scope of work, design, schedule, and budget
- Prepare and submit agreed-upon Project Status Reports
- Coordinate with both Charleston and local Country Office staff on the integration of new program design elements into existing workflows
- Support tight fiduciary oversight of all program and project related expenses.
- Work with the Charleston Program Design and MEL teams to implement and develop new project standards, processes, surveys, and required program documentation.
- Work with the Charleston Assetas and Serengeti Team to implement standards and processes related to asset management.
- Work with the Program Design and Standards Team to implement health & hygiene training, stakeholder inclusivity, stakeholder sensitization training, and community leadership training for surveying and auditing.
- Work with the Program Design and Standards Team- MEL team to implement routine baseline and end line surveying for all new qualifying safe water projects in the region.
- Work with the Engineering and Professional Services Team to implement robust asset management practices, new and improved household water quality testing procedures, and a robust O&M schedule.
- Work with country technical leads, coordinators, and leadership, to support the their technical knowledge of the Carbon Program, oversee QAQC of program deliverables, and coordinate required staff trainings.
- Support and be available for regional audits, including logistics support, support of technical leads for onsite visits, and translating Water Mission's work in the WAS sector to visiting auditors.
- Support the development of a Carbon Credit Program component in refugee settings.
- Support partnership conversions for the purposes of buy-in, sensitization, and government compliance.
- Conduct field inspections and site assessments to ensure projects are in line with Carbon Credit Program requirements.
- Work with the Carbon Credit Program Manager to develop and implement annual operating plans and budget.

- Bachelor's degree in International Development, Public Health, or equivalent 10+ years of experience in an international development setting
- Minimum 4 years of progressive project management experience, 5+ years preferred.
- Experience working in developing countries preferred.
- Advanced skills with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with project management software such as MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills for training and sensitization
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent relationship and conflict resolution skills.
- P.E. license and/or project management certification preferred, or equivalent 5+ years experience in the WASH sector
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience overseeing MEL teams and surveying and researching teams.
- Ability to travel up to 4-6 times per year for 1-3 weeks at a time, mostly in developing countries. Most international trips require riding in long car rides on rough terrain, standing for extended periods of time in hot weather, and lifting moderately heavy things.
- Home internet bandwidth strong enough to support video conferencing and other job-related responsibilities.
- Flexibility to work periodic nights and weekends as required for ministry operations.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Commitment to the values and mission of the organization and ending the global water crisis.
