- Successful applicants must have a PhD (Special Needs Education), a Master’s Degree (Special Needs Education), and a Bachelor of Education (Special Needs Education), all in the respective areas of specialization.
- Having a Certificate in Kenyan Sign language and a Certificate in Audiology will be an added advantage for the Hearing Impairment area of specialization.
- For the Visual Impairment area of specialization, applicants must be proficient in Braille.
- At least three years of teaching experience at a university or institution of higher learning
- Should have published at least two (2) articles in a peer-reviewed journal.
