The Social Safeguards and Resettlement Consultant will help participants understand the social dimensions of land acquisition and resettlement, including how to safeguard livelihoods and manage community relations. The consultant will emphasize participatory approaches, grievance redress mechanisms, and alignment with donor safeguard requirements.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver training on Social Impact Assessments (SIA) and Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs).
  • Facilitate case study discussions (LAPSSET Corridor, Thwake Dam).
  • Lead participatory exercises and role-plays on community consultation.
Requirements:Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Sociology, Anthropology, or Development Studies.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in resettlement planning or social safeguards.
  • Familiarity with World Bank/IFC safeguard policies is an advantage.
