We are looking to grow our team and engage a highly motivated and passionate Guest Service Agent (Chinese Speaking) who will work closely with the team to drive and deliver on the Fairmont promise, turning moments into memories.We are seeking a skilled Guest Service Agent (Chinese Speaking) with proficiency in Chinese to support our team in various administrative tasks and provide translation services as needed. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong communication skills in both English and Chinese.Responsibilities:MUST BE ABLE TO TRANSLATE CHINESE LANGUANGE
  • Translate documents, emails, and other communication from Chinese to English and vice versa.
  • Provide real-time interpretation during Check In Check out and guest activities and other interactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and cultural sensitivity in all translations.
  • Act as a liaison between English-speaking and Chinese-speaking guests at the hotel.
  • Facilitate effective communication between parties who speak different languages.
  • Provide language-related support to enhance cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Demonstrate fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Possess a strong understanding of cultural nuances to ensure accurate and contextually appropriate translations.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently to meet needs of different Chinese clients.
  • Assist in the coordination of travel arrangements and itineraries.
RequirementsQualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Communications with level 4 or level 5 Chinese language certification.
  • Previous experience in translation and interpretation in a busy environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese (spoken and written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
