- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs evaluations, medical history review, symptom evaluation, to support diagnosis treatment planning.
- Identify patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and compliance with guidelines, standards, and protocols.
- Monitor vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient using nursing process.
- Ensure safe and clean working environment for staff, patients, and visitors by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, calling for assistance from heath care and support personnel.
- Protect patients by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedure, and medical waste disposal.
- Observe and monitor patients, records significant conditions and reactions by charting in patient records and notifying supervisor or physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
- Prepare clinical equipment and aid clinicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
- Liaison person with external service providers e.g., hospitals, x-rays, doctors, and clinics as need arises.
- Guide, Counsel / advise clients on health matters.
- Promote good health and well-being through education and wellness programmes.
- Advocate on behalf of patients and make ethical decisions related to consent and confidentiality.
- Responsible for transportation of patients and ambulance services, patients hospital/home visits and emergency evacuation.
- Verification of invoices from external service providers for related services.
- Perform dental nursing and assist dentists in dental procedures.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of the clinic budget and business plan.
- Adhere to the Bank policies, procedures, guidelines, and related standards
- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned.
- Diploma in Registered nursing course (Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse) or an equivalent Degree qualification from a recognized institution.
- Member of the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Must have current nursing practice license by the Nursing Council of Kenya
- At least five (5) years' experience in nursing services in a busy nursing environment.
