This business needs a CFO who can tell them not just what they spent, but whether it was worth it. Someone who gets excited about margin analysis at breakfast and can explain the unit economics to the board without putting them to sleep. You should be the person in the room who kills bad ideas fastest - not by saying 'we can't afford it,' but by showing exactly what would need to be sacrificed to make it happen. You will be a true business partner to the CEO. This isn't a traditional finance role - it's a strategic position for someone who sees numbers as the language of opportunity and growth.The OpportunityAs CFO, you'll be instrumental in shaping the company’s future. Working hand-in-hand with the CEO, you'll drive strategic decisions, identify growth opportunities, and build the financial infrastructure that enables ambitious expansion. You'll translate complex financial data into compelling narratives that guide investment, inform strategy, and unlock new markets.What You'll DoYou'll be the CEO's trusted advisor on all matters commercial and strategic. Beyond ensuring financial health, you'll challenge assumptions, pressure-test growth plans, and identify opportunities others miss. You'll build relationships with investors, partners, and stakeholders, becoming the commercial voice that articulates the vision and validates the path forward.Your financial acumen will inform everything from M&A opportunities to market entry strategies, from capital allocation to operational efficiency. You'll build a high-performing finance function that doesn't just report on the business, it drives it.Who You AreYou're a commercially minded leader who thrives at the intersection of finance and strategy. You've proven you can scale businesses, having navigated high-growth environments where agility matters as much as accuracy. You communicate financial concepts with clarity and conviction, making the complex accessible to all stakeholders.You're as comfortable in a boardroom presentation as you are modelling scenarios in a spreadsheet. You build trusted relationships quickly and lead with influence, bringing teams along on the journey. Most importantly, you're energised by growth and see your role as enabling possibility, not limiting it.What We're Looking For

Ideally with experience within a large meat processing business
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience
Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role, ideally as CFO or Finance Director
Experience scaling businesses through growth phases
Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Natural collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
