Key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and advise management on financial planning and decision-making.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, management accounts, and periodic financial reports.
  • Develop and manage institutional budgets, ensuring departments operate within approved allocations.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial performance to ensure the institution maintains financial sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements including tax obligations, audits, and government regulations.
  • Lead and supervise the finance team, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and professional development of staff.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard institutional assets and minimize financial risks.
  • Oversee fee collection, receivables, and revenue management, ensuring effective financial tracking of student payments.
  • Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
  • Manage financial systems and support implementation or optimization of ERP systems for financial operations.
  • Provide financial insights and reports to support strategic planning and institutional growth.
  • Work closely with departmental heads to guide financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and long-term financial plans for institutional sustainability.
Key Requirements
  • Must hold CPA (K) qualification.
  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting or finance.
  • Experience working with an ERP system will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a finance team and oversee accounting functions.
  • Ability to work closely with departmental heads and support institutional management with financial insights.
