- Develop aviation security training programs for all functions to address training gaps.
- Deliver aviation security training programs within all the functional areas as per the calendar to ensure staff gains the knowledge and skills to perform their roles.
- Monitor &evaluate implementation of aviation security training to ensure effective transfer of skills to the workplace and identify further training needs.
- Develop a training schedule to facilitate effective planning of aviation security programs.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to enable smooth coordination of aviation security training.
- Maintain up to date and accurate aviation security training records to ensure compliance with company standards and aid decision making.
- Prepare reports on all aviation security trainings conducted to enable continuous evaluation of programs and facilitate decision making.
- Market Commercial training programs to help contribute to the achievement of commercial objectives.
- Participate in their view of security training manual and monitor Standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance within operational areas.
- Act as subject matter expert for the business with regards to aviation security.
- Offer Training to commercial customers as per signed company contracts.
- Assist in the Preparation and implementation of AVSEC training Budget.
- Develop and implement AVSEC training schedule for contracted security services.
- Assist to ensure the addition of behavioral competences, competence levels and training requirements to role profiles.
- Assist to Identify Aviation Security Training needs and follow-up on the performance of operational airline staff in line with their AVSEC roles and capability improvement needs.
- Assist in leading the definition of technical and professional competences, competence levels and pre- and post-appointment training requirements and ensure they are included in role profiles and within the learning management system.
- University degree in relevant field
- Instructor training from a training institution orinternational organization recognized by KCAA.
- Certification and/or approval from KCAA, ICAO orother Appropriate Authority.
- Basic 123 Aviation security
- Training of trainers
- Instructional techniques
- ICAO accreditation
- IT Knowledge, with excellent working on power point.
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Three years of operational experience in aviation.
- Working in a supervisory role is an added advantage.
- International, regional and National aviation security regulations.
- Security systems and access control.
- Ground and in-flight security.
- Passenger and baggage screening.
- Baggage and cargo security.
- Aircraft security and searches; Restricted articles and prohibited items.
- Emergency procedures.
- An overview of terrorism
