Our client, a leader in high-performance fertilizer products, is seeking an experienced and proactive to join their factory located in West Pokot.The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in HR management and be able to effectively manage a dynamic workforce, including casual and seasonal workers. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of HR policies and practices, and the ability to thrive in a remote setting.Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate recruitment for permanent, casual, and seasonal roles; manage onboarding and induction for new hires.
Handle disciplinary issues, conflict resolution, and grievance procedures while maintaining positive relations with employees, community leaders, and government bodies.
Maintain accurate personnel files and HR documentation; ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Implement and monitor performance appraisal systems; support supervisors in goal setting and employee evaluations.
Identify training needs and implement programs, especially for casual and seasonal staff; promote cross-training and productivity improvement.
Manage recruitment, time tracking, contracts, and separation for seasonal/casual workers in line with production needs.
Address absenteeism, lateness, and misconduct; promote worker welfare and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HR, with formal training in HR matters.
Proactive, outgoing, and capable of building strong relationships with factory workers and supervisors.
Ability to manage seasonal and casual workers effectively.
Comfortable living and working in a remote location.
Preference will be given to male candidates due to logistical considerations.
