The Cook at Brazilian Rodizio will assist the Chef in preparing authentic Brazilian churrascaria dishes, focusing on grilling premium meats and supporting the Market Table & Feijoada Bar at the Lavington location. This Brazilian Rodizio Jobs role involves maintaining food quality, adhering to recipes, and ensuring hygiene standards. Food Preparation: Assist in preparing Brazilian Rodizio's signature dishes, including Beef Bottom Sirloin (KES 1,900) and Fish (KES 1,700).
Grilling Support: Support the grilling of meats on spits over a charcoal fire, ensuring consistency with Brazilian Rodizio's churrascaria standards.
Buffet Maintenance: Prepare and replenish items for the Market Table & Feijoada Bar, including salads, vegetables, and cheeses.
Recipe Adherence: Follow Brazilian Rodizio's recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistent quality.
Kitchen Support: Assist the Chef in inventory checks, food prep, and kitchen organization to support Brazilian Rodizio's operations.
Hygiene Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to Brazilian Rodizio's food safety standards.
Team Collaboration: Work with the Chef and other cooks to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours at Brazilian Rodizio.
Quality Control: Ensure all prepared items meet Brazilian Rodizio's standards for taste and presentation.

Qualifications and Skills

Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or a related field from a recognized institution.
1-3 years of experience as a cook in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in Nairobi.
Knowledge of Brazilian cuisine or churrascaria techniques is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to Brazilian Rodizio's quality standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, aligning with Brazilian Rodizio's high-energy culture.
High integrity and adherence to hygiene and safety protocols.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings (09:00 AM - 11:00 PM).
