Read on!Join us!PSI seeks a Regional Representative, Eastern Southern Africa (ESA) that will execute regional strategy in alignment with PSI’s global priorities, foster strategic partnerships with organizations (e.g., EGPAF, VIYA, etc.) and ensure high-quality program delivery across PSI countries. Strengthen country ownership of strategic planning & execution, operation management, and financial performance by supporting operational excellence, resource mobilization, and donor engagement (inclusive of new funding opportunities). Provide insights to the Strategic Growth & Engagement department to inform global strategy development, and, in partnership with leadership (VP, Delivery & Director, Program Management, etc.), ensure countries meet performance goals while maintaining operational integrity (financial, HR, compliance). Supervise country leadership and promote strong collaboration between global and country teams.ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Do- Build, maintain, and strengthen donor relations; grow partnerships; monitor funding trends in market; and position PSI to expand business in the assigned region in close collaboration with the Strategic Growth & Engagement team, in-country leadership, and other key stakeholders. Assess new business opportunities within the region and contribute to bid/no-bid decisions by evaluating alignment with PSI’s strategic objectives, competitiveness and value proposition, and financial viability, including fee structures. Represents PSI in regional and global forums.
- Adapts and executes PSI’s global strategy for regional purposes as set with and by the Strategic Growth & Engagement team. Inputs into the wider PSI strategy and strategic and operational planning processes.
- Oversees program implementation, ensuring compliance with organizational and funder requirements.
- Supports Country leadership in setting and monitoring country, programmatic, and financial objectives and holds country leadership accountable throughout the year (using MBOs and/or STEPS as anchors).
- Manages and provides coaching to Country leadership and indirectly to project management and global services support staff and INM leadership. Works with HR to conduct strategic workforce planning, identify and pipeline talent for country leadership, and ensure diverse, innovative and high-performing teams. Work with HR, legal, and security to manage duty of care for staff, and any HR related complaints or cases.
- Mitigates risk at the regional level by supporting the implementation of global policies, strategies, and operational systems; strengthening governance structures across country programs; and collaborating closely with Country Leadership, Global Internal Audit and Finance departments to ensure effective internal controls are applied and maintained.

- 10-25% international travel
- Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field
- Master’s Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field (e.g., MBA, MPA, MPH) preferred
- At least 15 years of related experience
- At least 7 years of supervisory experience
- Deep understanding of the full award life cycle management (start-up to close-out) and supporting country operations in a donor funded environment, preferably in the fields of global health.
- Significant in-country leadership experience, demonstrated by previous country leadership experience in at least one country. Multiple country experience preferred.
- Expertise in key technical health areas relevant to the region.
- Significant demonstrated experience in collaborating and cultivating relationships with government, donors, and partners.
- Extensive knowledge of fundraising strategies, donor landscaping and engagement, and proposal development processes.
- Significant demonstrated leadership and passion for building technical, management, and leadership capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and contexts.
- Experience co-leading complex change management efforts by aligning teams around shared goals, building organizational buy-in, minimizing disruption, and ensuring successful long-term adoption of new strategies, systems, and ways of working.
- Ability to diagnose organizational gaps and mobilize targeted support.
- Proven flexibility and adaptability in professional roles.
- Fluency in English with excellent writing skills.
