- Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or Analytical Chemistry.
- A PhD in a relevant field is an added advantage.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree or equivalent.
- Registered and with a current practice license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
- At least two (2) years of academic or research experience at an institution of higher learning or research institution.
- Current member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya
- Delivering lectures and facilitating practical training for B.Pharm and postgraduate students in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry.
- Mentoring students and supervising research projects within the department.
- Examining and assessing students’ academic progress as per university policy.
- Developing and reviewing curriculum to align with the University, Commission of University Education, and Pharmacy and Poisons Board standards.
- Engaging in continuous research and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Coordinating academic programs and departmental operations as assigned by the Chairman
