Summit Recruitment and Search Africa is a leading Recruitment and Executive Search agency head quartered in Kenya providing outstanding talent to a wide range of companies and NGOs in various business sectors across Africa.Our client, a global impact investing organization whose mission is to help build and support High Impact Businesses that provide sustainable economic opportunities to millions of people living at the base of the economic pyramid, is looking for a Credit Analyst to be based in the Nairobi, Kenya offices. The organization is a unique hybrid approach, that blends investment capital and capacity building to High Impact Businesses, which then empower the poor as independent entrepreneurs and consumers of affordable goods and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting officers and managers in identifying pipeline opportunities, developing, and supervising investment and technical assistance transactions, and contributing to partnership development. They will be responsible for collecting, verifying, and analyzing data on potential borrowers, preparing credit memos, and supporting the closing process of each approved credit transaction.Key Responsibilities:

Support officers and managers in collection, verification and analysis of data on potential borrowers
Support the officers and managers in preparation of credit memos
Support the closing process of each approved credit transaction.
Coordinate with the capacity building team on gaps identified during the KYC/due diligence process
Critically analyze available data on loan applicants and apply financial, commercial, environmental and social criteria to assess alignment with organizational objectives
Monitor the repayment of the loans disbursed and periodically update CRM with required metrics.
Handle credit related customer queries
Perform any other duty as assigned in line with the organization’s goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

Must have Relevant bachelor's degree in mathematics or higher in a related field
Must have 3+ years of credit experience
Demonstrated ability to support portions of investment activities, including (1) screening leads, conducting due diligence, structuring and closing deals; (2) drafting related memos, scorecards, financial models and legal documents; (3) assessing social impact; and (4) leading deal discussions in decision meetings;
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds; great team player
Experience in financial analysis, credit analysis, and modeling is preferred.
Experience working in banking or microfinance institutions is a must
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other similar applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with
Ability to undertake domestic travel
Authorized to work in Kenya
