- Design, develop and implement work plans, track and support partner activities and provide technical support for service delivery initiatives.
- Liaise with the project teams and other key stakeholders to ensure effective interface between project development, planning, design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation.
- Provide professional guidance, technical support and capacity building for the project teams.
- Undertake analysis/assessment to support the development and improvement of key projects and ensure the use of project management methodologies and processes to allow for consistent high-quality outcomes.
- Provide timely and efficient coordination and dissemination of project material and project support.
- Prepare and present project documents to key stakeholders as required, including proposals, status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers.
- Deliver on assigned projects and processes within agreed upon deadlines, budget and quality standards.
- Facilitate partner meetings, and maintain meeting records, including minutes and other relevant documentation.
- Support the preparation of terms of reference and other engagement mechanisms for any required external assistance.
- Support planning for and participate in project site support visits.
- Clear work plans
- Periodic status updates on implementation of the work plans
- Adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Compliance with project methodologies and processes
- Timely reports, including quality of management information provided
- Documentation management
- Master's in Public Health, Project Management or Heath Systems Management/Strengthening
- Experience working with NCD related policies, strategies, guidelines and implementing NCD interventions.
- Minimum five years providing technical assistance in health and development projects.
- Demonstrated experience in multiple stakeholder engagement and management
- Experience working within the government system. Experience in county-based health and development program implementation or experience working with county governments will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with the organization of health services in Kenya including primary health care and community health services
- A high level of time-urgency with an ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines within a flexible, fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a demonstrated capacity to solve problems with energy, flexibility, attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a team and deliver results in a fast-changing project environment
- Knowledge and experience of ICT-based Office applications and tools (word processing, spreadsheets and data processing, PowerPoint)
- Strong English oral and written communication skills.
